Mary Artheim (メアリー・アルトハイム Mearii Arutohaimu) is the instructor of fine arts, introduced in the Trails of Cold Steel trilogy.

She maybe a noble, but when she becomes a new instructor at Thors, she shows that she deeply cares for her students. She has a good and positive atmosphere going around her, having a fond love of things in music to play the flute, the wonders of art, even cooking delicacies. During the events of Trials of Cold Steel II, she and Makarov seem to be coming along fine, but Mary feels that maybe..she's discovering some sort of feelings of romance; to which while Makarov seems to feel strange around her, he doesn't seem to hate it, Mary even finds it sweet when Makarov's niece; Mint, tries to put them together to fall in love which Mary doesn't find it a bother at all, she seems to enjoy Makarov's company.
