The Gagharv Trilogy (ガガーブトリロジー) is comprised of three interweaving stories: The Legend of Heroes: A Tear of Vermillion, The Legend of Heroes: Song of the Ocean and The Legend of Heroes: Prophecy of the Moonight Witch. Each chapter tells the story of a hero and their companions who journey across their land to prevent an impending disaster. Unbeknownst to most of these individuals, each of their lands exist in the same world separated by a bottomless gash in the earth called Gagharv and by a huge mountain range known as the Backbone of the Great Serpent.

Chronology[]

Chronologically, the tale begins with A Tear of Vermillion with Song of the Ocean taking place afterwards, and Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch according to the U.S. continuity.

However, the story is mostly followed with Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch first, A Tear of Vermillion second and Song of the Ocean last, from the chronological order by the Japanese release dates. This is due to the latter title revealing the missing pieces throughout Prophecy of the Moonlight Witch and A Tear of Vermillion, leading to confusion in the U.S. releases.

Michel Lap Haven[]

The only recurring character throughout the entire series who is aware that the three lands exist within the same world - a mage from Tirasweel by the name of Michel Lap Haven. With the knowledge of Transfer magic, he was able to visit all three lands and assists the heroes in overcoming the dangers of their adventures.

Gagharv and Zemuria Connection[]

Finally, there is some hint that the three lands of Gagharv may not be the only lands that make up the world in which they exist. Some hints (and speculation) exist that claim the lands of Gagharv may exist alongside those of Zemuria in the Kiseki series. These are due to some stories, organizations and a peculiar painting that exist throughout the Kiseki tales. However, no official proof has been given regarding this theory.
