“二軍”でしかない分校なんて《灰色の騎士》には相応しくありませんよ?
A "second-string" campus is not really suitable for the likes of you, Ashen Chevalier?
—Cedric's intro quote, Sen no Kiseki

As a young adult in the first game, Cedric wears a royal tunic with a long red coat and a handkerchief clothes folded at the collars. Character Profile

Cedric Reise Arnor is the crown prince of the Erebonian Empire and legitimate child of Eugent Reise Arnor III, making him legal to succeed to the throne.

During the Civil War, he was captured by Duke Cayenne of the Noble Alliance as the “key” to unseal the Vermillion Knight that lies dormant in the Imperial castle's basement. But thanks to Class VII's efforts and the sacrifice of a certain person, he was safely released and regained consciousness.

Although Cedric was slowly recuperating after the Civil War, Cedric continued to suffer imbalance between mind and body as his physical strength didn’t recover sufficiently. Regardlessly, he enrolled into the Thors Main Campus as intended by family tradition.

However in the year that followed, Cedric became strong both physically and mentally as a very confident individual, leaving others worried about his new behavior such as her twin sister.
